The Story

After years of struggling with razor blades and every other tool provided including store bought chisels on yachts to take down proud caulk seams...we came up a tool we think is the best thing since doodle bugs were invented!

We hit our limit with sliced fingers and baking in the Mediterranean sun because the management company said a sand out was not in the budget yet again. The average 50m yacht has 3500 sq feet of teak and average 90m yacht over 12,000 sq/ft of teak. This is a waste of time and money with razor blades or any other tool including sanders

During our time on a well known Superyacht we looked closely at what was going on when we cut high caulk seams down from over cleaning using caustics. We struggled through over 20 prototypes trying to figure out what was causing the grain to raise, the chisel to stick, the razors to get stuck. Finally, what we came up with was nothing short of an AMAZING, ZEN like perfectly weight balanced, blade sharpened as well as softened, carbon steel masterpiece. We use only the finest Japanese chisels. Each chisel comes in its own pouch with blade protector and is branded with Simple Sailor Marine Logo.
